Rules to avoid getting flagged by Facebook (by Nate Wells)
For everyone who is about to start running ads for the first time here are the absolute essential rules to follow to avoid getting flagged by fb. I got taken down after 24 hours of running my first ad. It is demoralising and it will take you a few weeks to get up and running again. You will need to create and season a new account, new page, new ad, buy a new domain and get a new payment method. Believe me when I say you don't want to go there. Follow these instructions closely and you should be fine. If ever you are in doubt, stop everything, take a step back and reach out to me or someone else who can give you guidance.
If all this seems like a lot to take in at once, take it 1 step at a time and feel free to get in touch if you're unsure.
I'd rather you message me 100 times to ask questions than 1 time to tell me you've had your account disabled.

Good luck and have fun watching the number of views going crazy...
- 1) Ensure that your page is well seasoned and has been running for at least 8-10 days with regular posts and at least 1 post with over 100 likes, a few shares and comments is always good too. It seems like Pakistan and Bangladesh are the best places to do a like campaign. Can pick up 800 likes for $5. At that price its worth boosting a regular post every few weeks to keep your page as positive as possible. Keep on posting and seasoning for the life of your page.
- 2) Choose your video carefully. It mustn't contain testimonials and should be unique to you. This means editing the video with an intro and outro, which could be yourself doing an introduction or simply a clip from another video you have found. Just make sure that your video has a unique "digital fingerprint". Matt Jang on the beach in Hawaii is certainly the best converting video at the moment, however make sure you use a version without reference to the money he's making. If it does talk cash, edit those bits out.
- 3) Ensure that when boosting your ad your domain is linked to your blog post. Do this each and every time you boost your ad. After the ad has been approved (can take up to a day the first time) let it run for a few hours or until about $1 has been used up. Only after this should you switch from your blog to your lead page, by using the forwarding function at your domain provider. If you wish to boost successive ads while previous ads are running, I recommend that you pause all running ads, switch back to the blog post, then boost your new ads. Again wait for $1 to be used up then switch back to your lead page. After that you can switch off pause on your previous ads.
- 4) Start slowly. Don't start with more than $5 a day total spend. You can increase this after a few days but keep the increases slow and steady until you reach the amount that your comfortable spending.
- 5) Create a backup account and page. Season them as above because even when you follow all the rules Facebook can still be a bitch...
